Increases access to affordable homes for working families while building the Frayser Community as a neighborhood of choice. Typical housing costs, include taxes and insurance for buyers are $470/month.*


Home buyer education

Produces well-informed home buyers equipped with the necessary tools to become homeowners: from budgeting to real estate terms and basic mortgage information. Participants recieve a certificate of completion that is required for down payment assistance, and special mortgage programs for first time buyers.

Helps potential renter prepare for and make informed decisions before signing a lease.

If you are not in a position to purchase a house at the moment this program allows you to rent with an end goal of owning.


Pre-purchase counseling

Leads to a reduction in mortgage delinquency up to 50% by empowering the buyer to make informed decisions, and improve their home buying success

For those that like to live in a very nice home, but do not want to deal with the responsibility of home ownership, the CDC offers a variety of houses for rent.


mortgage default/loss mitigation

Assists homeowners who are in default and being threatened by foreclosure.
